James K. Galbraith is an economist who has served in several positions on the staff of the U.S. Congress, including Executive Director of the Joint Economic Committee. He is a professor at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, a Senior Scholar of the Levy Economics Institute, and Chair of the Board of Economists for Peace and Security.  Here, Galbraith explains why lowering the age at which people can collect Social Security is good for the economy.
