Jesse Bragg is the Executive Director of the Vermont Democratic Party. He got a taste for Vermont politics while at the University of Vermont, and shortly after graduation, he jumped into the action, working for the Democratic party in 2008 in Burlington, helping Dan Smith with his mayoral campaign and then joined up with Organizing for America to build support for issues such as national health care reform. Here he tells us about Vermont’s Democratic Governor Peter Shumlin’s pledge to sign into law this week a bill to provide universal health care to Vermont residents.
