Thanks to your support, we were able to help Joe Sestak defeat Arlen Specter in Pennsylvania, and we could not be more excited to see the American people step up and help to put a true Democrat into that Senate seat. But while this was a major victory for progressive Democrats, our work is far from over!
In recent the recent months since Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Sarah Palin and the Tea Party have gone on the offensive, it’s become clear that there are two kinds of Democrats – those who roll over and those who stand up. We need more of those stand up Democrats. People like Nancy Pelosi who pushed through health care reform when “roll over” Democrats wanted to surrender. People like Barney Frank who took on Wall Street to protect consumers and small investors. And people like Joe Sestak.
