Last week, President Obama gave the Republicans one last chance to work with him on health care reform. He presented his proposal that builds upon existing legislation and includes provisions that will make health care more affordable, make health insurers more accountable, expand health coverage to all Americans and make the health system sustainable, and stabilize family budgets, the Federal budget and the economy.

But, predictably the Republican congressional leadership rejected his offer.

Now the Democrats need to act—and pass the Obama health care plan- NOW!

Thanks to Sherrod Brown and a few others, we are well on our way. Let's complete the best possible job we can now! Let the Republicans explain their "no" vote to the public...and don't water it down. After all this, we couldactually include the Public Option! But let's not let "the best" be the enemy of the good!!

Sure, I prefer single payer most and the public option next, but we have so much to do (energy and environment, financial regulation, ...) that we can't afford to wait for a better insurance reform bill.

Enough talk. Time for action. The republicans will never agree to anything forward thinking....

Too many Americans are suffering without health insurance and even with it!

Please do the right thing for your constituents. Yes there are lots of better health reform ideas out there but please vote this in while we have the opportunity. This may be our last chance at any kind of health insurance reform.

Please put a public option in the Health Care Bill, without it there's no competion against private insurers.

pass a bill, even if it doesn't have a public option -- legislation that's good should not be defeated because it's not perfect -- keep trying to make it as good as possible -- but don't let the bill be defeated because it tries to accomplish too much

The GOP only wants to defeat President Obama. They'll vote against anything that helps him!!!

The good things in the bill far outweigh any of the bad things, and like any grand legislation, it will need modification as it goes a long. we should not expect perfection right from the get-go.

And add the public OPTION back in, while you're at it!

Pass it and pass the reconciliation bill WITH corrections and modifications. Get the job done for my sake, for the Democrats' sake, and for our nation's sake.

Every USA citizen should have affordable health insurance no matter how little they make or if they are retired

It is essential that a health care billl covering ALL is passed now. THIS WILL HELP OUR ECONOMY, GIVE FAIRNESS. BUT WE MUST CREATE A PLAN THAT ALSO SAVES $$: AND THAT IS A SINGLE PAYER SYSTEM.

America is about 130 years behind Europe in instituting universal health coverage. Let's seize this opportunity to catch up and give America a healthier, stabler society.
